Accountant
As an accountant, you will join a team of five accountants, each with their own responsibilities and managed portfolios. You are responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with legal obligations. Additionally, you play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager in consolidating the various entities within the alsico Group, an international organization with a consolidated turnover of €300 million. You report directly to the Finance Manager. Job description
- You process invoices and manage supplier payments.
- You prepare supplier payments and maintain contact with suppliers as needed for payment follow-ups.
- You ensure correct VAT administration and legal reporting (VAT returns, client listings, Intrastat declarations).
- You perform accurate monthly and yearly closings, including provisions and intercompany reconciliations (e.g., booking journal entries, provisions, intercompany reconciliations).
- You create various reports.
- You act as a backup for your colleagues and assist with other files.
Preparatory consolidation tasks:
- Manage master data and mapping tables.
- Support local production entities with consolidation tasks.
- Manage intercompany eliminations and flows.
Profile
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Taxation or equivalent through experience.
- You are eager to learn and willing to pursue additional training (e.g., VAT legislation).
- You work thoroughly and accurately.
- You can work independently and are self-motivated to give your best.
- You speak fluent Dutch; a good basic knowledge of French and English is a plus.
- You have a solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP and/or Prophix is an advantage.
- You can work independently but are also a strong team player.
